From: (Anonymous)It's not, but "deals with very real issues" is the type of thing people often say about things that are depressing as fuck. I don't know if the fic is, but as someone who doesn't enjoy that kind of thing, I probably wouldn't read it based on that.
Especially since the little bit I remember of Friday Night Lights was, in fact, depressing as fuck.

From: (Anonymous)Everyone gets a happy ending. It's not depressing angst realism, it's dealing-with-serious-problems realism, but they do all ultimately deal with them.
