Re: What's Up With Your Team? "No, it's not October yet" edition

From: (Anonymous)
Jordie deserves the raise he's going to get, but he's still going to be a cheap reliable guy which means any team with the cap room will want to take his probable 1.5 - 2 mil AAV contract for what he is. I don't know if Nill will even use the, "hey, we can keep Jordie if you sign for a little less," thing when negotiating with Jamie, but older Benn doesn't need it for a job--and Jamie and Tyler are going to get giant contracts barring unforeseen disaster. We're probably not going to see the Benn brothers raise the Cup together and that pains me.

I'm thinking Goose gets a 1-2 year extension and is gone, and we're riding out Oduya's contract with a fair chance of an extra year. Demers ain't going anywhere. Nemeth is in the middle of the pack, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's traded, but I don't think so.

Jokipakka can go either way. I'm thinking it's really that Jokipakka's going to be Jordie's replacement if he can grow into the role or is a good young trade piece.

I'd love for Oleksiak to be traded for a PK'er and a fifth (always the fifth, being a fifth round pick in Dallas is clearly now an Expectations spot) unless he shows up, but we've got a new shiny 6' 7" draftee.
