From: (Anonymous)I don't think you need a moral high ground (or even a real solid reason) to dislike someone in sports. I think haters will see what they want in order to hate that player anyway, so it doesn't really matter. It must be tough, though, to constantly have your reasons struck down or overwhelmed by everyone else's love.

From: (Anonymous)Is this performance art? Your reasons don't get ~~struck down~~ when stans disagree with them. They don't disappear into the ether, leaving haters trembling with love that dare not speak its name. They continue to exist.
And you're acting like blind love/stanning for a player isn't also rooted in biases and affiliations and granfalloons. No one in this league is a perfect angel.

And like I said elsewhere, I don't want to learn that Crosby is a rapist or an abuser or any other number of terrible and/or criminal things. That would be awful. I'd prefer to continue hating him for the reasons I already have.
