NA but I think nonny is talking about @tonimacattack (java-genie in fandom), so sort of? But I don't think the rest of her angry army is full of RPFers, they're all just part of general hockey Twitter that likes to pick a new male blogger to burn in effigy every week. And while she definitely has a large fandom following, those aren't the ones that go after people all the time. They just sort of cheer java-genie on.

I agree that they're very Tumblr/SJW-esque in nature and rhetoric, but the only true RPFer in that group is java-genie. And she's disconcertingly open about being in fandom, considering how wide her non-RPF audience is.

I dunno. I keep my fandom stuff and my mainstream hockey accounts so separate that there's no way of associating me with rpf. So I do think it's possible they are in fandom, but just don't cross the streams.

AYRT I suppose that's possible, but I feel like people in fandom would know that? I mean, all the RPF people I know that follow java-genie know she's java-genie. She's never really hidden it, even though she doesn't exactly cross the streams directly. I feel like that would be the case with the rest of her army and I just don't see it.

Agreeing with this. People can be familiar with Tumblr style rhetoric, but that doesn't mean they are involved with RPF (Tumblr is a big place) and I feel like that is the case for some of the people she interacts with.

her friends do read fic. they get linked to fic on twitter by people who cross the streams. so i think they are just NNF in rpf.
