+1 Pretty sure it wasn't Crosby.

nayrt

reading through those articles, I'm pretty sure it's not Crosby either.

If I have a friend on the other team I will try to say “hi” to him in warm-up or at a face-off if we're lined up next to each other.

Crosby would never! Nate can testify to that :(

lol poor Nate

idk I reread all those articles after he said it was Crosby and I don't really have an opinion, I guess people think he's lying? I think they seemed to always be written around the time when Crosby was injured and after the last big injury Wysh said the player didn't have time anymore.

Yeah someone else in the comments of one of those articles pointed the timing out too. It could be coincidence but who knows? Crosby's not someone I would suspect too much of being the Player though.

The player's insights make me more inclined to think he's studied business or finance in college and has also played on more than one team in the NHL.

Re: your second paragraph, agreed. I remember there being some speculation that it might be Jeff Halpern (has made the rounds, has an econ degree from Princeton) that seemed reasonable to me.

Maybe it's actually Nate, he does like to chat with Jo Drouin before and even during the game when their teams are playing against each other.
