I'm from western NY and get mistaken for Canadian a lot, too! Although I think it has less to do with the accent (one would think being so close to the border would have affected us more, but no (IMO)) and more to do with the incessant talk of Timmy Ho's and hockey.

I was a Timmys virgin up until a few months ago and I honestly regret trying it, because they don't have a location in my state and the coffee and donuts were really fucking good.
