THE RULES

In most North American English accents,"t" often kind of gets turned into a "d". Like, the "better" will get slurred into "bedder", "city" into "cidy", and yeah, "writer" into "wrider".

And with house/house, yeah, the "s" becoming a "z" is normal, it's the way the "ou" is pronounced that's different. Let me see if I can find some video/audio for it.
