Can any kind nonnie give me a clue as to whether I want to scroll through all - seven hundred and thirty, holy shit - comments in fandom confessions that happened while I was reading other things and/or being angry wrt one p. kane and his fans? Is it a ton of individual fandom secrets type stuff, or did something go off the rails?

I don't recall anything going off the rails. A quick scroll through the subthreads seems to confirm that nonnies are just really chatty.

You know DW has a top-level-comments-only option, right? It's right next to flatview, at the top of the comments section on each page.

Yes? But that's like the opposite of something which would inform whether a conversation four threads deep relates to the stated topic upthread or not.
