Not really. I think it's super weird that the airt's first association with "gay" is "has no practical experience with or cultural knowledge regarding women and could not possibly be a woman herself". Especially in a female-dominated space like fic fandom. Not to mention that I've heard plenty of gay dudes making misogynistic jokes about women being irrational and insecure because they're on the rag or just generally hormonal or whatever -- more than I've heard straight dudes do, in fact.

So should I have added "heterosexual" to that? It's not an ubiquitous phrase. They might not have had exposure to (heterosexual people) who use that phrase in regards to women. I didn't make assumptions. I'm clueless to many man-related and woman-related euphemisms, and some of it I might attribute to my sexuality. So. I think you're reading into it too much.
