I think it's such a pity when players go to college because most of them don't learn anything. I was looking at some UMD players once, most majored in General Studies or Entrepreneurship. It's such a waste of time.

Surely you don't it's more of a pity than if they didn't go to college? They probably went for hockey reasons anyway. And you'd manage to pick up a few things, no matter what you majored in, because gen eds.

It really depends on what they did with their time. I've heard it's possible to coast through and not learn much because they are allowed to take easier classes and in certain majors profs never fail students (in my college we don't have student athletes who play seriously, yet in my major, no one was ever failed... it's just that kind of major).

I always imagined Juniors was a more efficient way of getting to the end point of professional hockey if one didn't care about formal education.

Yeah, you don't have to be an athlete to coast through college.

At least my schedule was conducive to me studying. A lot of student athlete's playing seems to make studying very difficult
