This is the eighteenth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

I think it's reasonable to feel hurt or annoyed by that kind of thing, but I mean...it's not exactly unusual to get commenters who are weird or inappropriate if you write for a big fandom (speaking from experience), and bringing it up in a long post that attempts to shame people for moving on from K/T is weird.

I definitely remember some of that in comments - to Linksy's thing I think, in response to her (at the time) KT ambivalence. I remember thinking it was in poor taste but yeah, Ao3 comments, what you gonna do.

And those comments are shitty and hurtful. No doubt. But to then take their existence and use them to imply that all anti-Kane people are other-pairing opportunists is, imo, offensive.

Yeah, that's just a general fandom thing. Some people lack boundaries and are inappropriate when they think they're being helpful. That being said, I don't think that most people active in other pairings were actively campaigning for primarily K/T writers to migrate over to their pairing of choice.
