And they've got Hedman and Stralman, which is more than a lot of teams can say.

Yeah but they'll still have to sign a D-man (or bring up a total newbie from the AHL) because Coburn's contract is up this year and his performance fell so much he's not getting re-signed.

They have a fuckton of forwards and two good goalies, so there's just no way they trade Drouin for anything other than D-men and/or picks.

They're not going to have a fuckton of forwards if they don't re-sign Stamkos and trade Drouin. Palat/Johnson have fallen back to earth. Although maybe if they stay healthy they'll get back in the groove.

I could see it going either way. The big thing will be getting a player of equivalent potential, regardless of position, which is going to be hard, and I can't imagine them going for a pure picks trade either. Even a high pick would set them back two years. It would have to be a player + pick.
