I do think Maatta's been dealing with some kind of lower-body issue for a good month or so. But that has zero to do with getting concussed because he got hit in the head.

I think what Trotz has been saying goes way beyond the usual "An unfortunate hit, trying to make a hockey play" kind of stuff that coaches usually say. If even your player agrees it was a bad hit, maybe you should stop blaming the victim for getting injured? It's pretty gross tbh.

On a different not, I rolled my eyes at the notification Maatta was out with an 'upper body injury.' He got hit in the damn head. I get not publicizing injury for fear of targeting, but he got hit in the damn head.

Earlier this year Rust (I think?) was out considerable time after we all watched him get hit in the hand with a puck. They called that an upper-body injury, too. :P
