Agreed and I still have hope for him. But his face also makes me want like a 50's/Grease/The Outsiders AU where he wears a letterman jacket and goes on dates to get milkshakes.

I lowkey ship him and Brock Boeser because both their faces make me think of what you just described.

I just googled him, and he looks exactly like my mental image of a dude named Brock. Which is the opposite situation from the case of Brock Nelson.

He looks like the villain in an 80s movie.

Really? Brock Nelson looks like the most Brock Nelson person ever, I've always commended his parents for their foresight.

I have nothing constructive to add other than wanting a Monahan/Gaudreau Dally/Johnny AU.

Monahan's personality is not a good fit for Dally at all.

I know, lol. If you have some suggestions, I'll take 'em. Who's that blond?

I'd actually probably make Monahan Steve and Gaudreau Soda. I could see Gaudreau as Johnny based on the whole tiny and other guys looking out for him angle, but I don't think he has the whole nervous personality thing that would quite work. Actually, he'd fit M&M from That Was Then, This is Now, too, but that would be a less fun AU to write, lol.

Dally would be... I'm not sure. Bollig or McGrattan might fit the whole older guy who fights a lot but has a secret ~heart of gold~ thing.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the nerves - I was mostly going for looks and for the fact that he does shit like eating cookies for breakfast, so guys need to look out for him. Also, being named Johnny.

And TWT, TIN is just a less fun book, regardless, so yes.

I was also a big fan of hers went back to read the plot for some of her novels does all her stories ends in tragedy?

Yeah, she's said she writes gen or at least not Wincest or something. She also knows there's outsiders fic and lol'd at Johnny/Dally (or possibly Ponyboy) mpreg, because Dally would know to wrap that up.

For real. This is the best of all possible worlds.

He definitely has the look for it with his size and coloring and the whole having to make sure he eats real food thing does work. He seems to be kind of bad at the whole taking care of himself/being an adult thing. He'd also make an adorable greaser, which is probably the really important take away here.

Yeah, I cried harder over TWT,TIN than The Outsiders (mostly out of frustration/anger), so I'm okay with no AUs based on that book ever.

Oooh, Shawn Thornton as Dally could work! I was just thinking about the Flames, but I think he'd really be a good fit. He could be appropriately misunderstood and what have you.

(I used to be super into SPN and I wasn't quite sure how to react when I found out that Hinton was a fan and wrote fanfic. It was such a surreal moment.)

ayrt- haha exactly! Can Eichel be Travolta's character? xD I think Brock Boeser could be the bad guy with the face scars (uh it was a while since I saw Grease).

Or Coyle is Danny (Travolta) and Eichel is Kenickie. No amount of hair grease can keep their curls down.
