This is the twenty-third post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Downgrade from Jordan Staal at 3C, and not particularly good? I know there are a bunch of fans who hate him, but mostly that line has been an upgrade since they ditched him.

Because he was bad, because he wasn't nearly as good as Jordan Staal, and because a segment of fans always overrated him because he was supposedly "clutch" (but not really). But as a person he seems like a great guy and I'm really sad about the season he had in Vancouver :( I don't think anyone ever disliked him for personal reasons, it's just people can get really vicious about players who don't perform on teams expecting to contend.

He wasn't great as a hockey player - tended to get knocked off the puck, had poor possession numbers. He did have wheels, though, and his signature move was to grab the puck on the PK and fly up the wing for a short-handed opportunity. So his goals were flashy but few.

Off-ice, I don't know that anybody disliked him? He came across as very mellow to me.

He was so skinny they nicknamed him Flat Stanley.

I don't think anyone disliked him. I just think he was never as good as everyone wanted him to be.

Scott Wilson is Nurse. Actually this is disingenuous because I really want Conor/Scott fic and I'm mad Scott got injured because he's been forgotten.

I haven't forgotten him! I have definitely recently said, "Gee, Scott Wilson. :(" Both because he's the WBS kid who doesn't get to enjoy this run as much and because I'd really like to try him on maybe Geno's line and see if they couldn't make something happen. I miss him scoring goals.
