Re: Random Thread

Just a quick question...is it better to get a women's jersey or a men's small jersey and have it be large? What size and type jerseys did you guys get if you have one? I would get a women's small or medium if I was getting women's but I don't know if getting men's would be better.

Re: Random Thread

I have women's because I'm short. The men's are too long on me. There's not a huge difference in them except the men's jerseys aren't fitted shaped. The sleeves are looser too. I don't really layer all the much with underneath my jerseys because I don't really get cold at games. But if you wanted to layer up it would be easier under a men's.

i got the men's small because i thought rihanna looked good in hers lol. i love how that style looks on me but unlike the anon above i'm built like a giraffe. i think it really just comes down to personal style, imo there aren't any huge differences between the two outside of fitted vs. oversized

Re: Random Thread

I think the big difference is whether you get Premier or Authentic. The women's jerseys only come in Premier, but the men's come in both. The "authentic" jerseys are nicer in a lot of respects (numbers and lettering sewn on instead of glued, etc.), but they are also cut very differently, as well, even between the two men's choices. If you go through the NHL shop, I've found that the sizing chart linked on an individual item might be the wrong one for that item, but here's the overall chart:

I'm tiny, so I put myself into a youth XL. A men's small is still three sizes too large for me--I fit into a women's small snugly. A men's small is like a women's XL

Re: Random Thread

I'm fairly tiny with a small shoulders and more than chest than I truly need, and the women's small fits me great, not only through the shoulders and chest, but also through the arms. I have a medium, too, and it doesn't look as nice through the shoulders but I am really intolerant of cold so it will be nice to be able to layer more. I just sort of assume that I'd be swimming in any of the men's sizes.

/hastily deletes anonfail

Things about premiers: For instance, the women's small has a 19" pit to pit. So a 38" bust. The men's small has a 26" pit to pit. A 52" chest. A women's XL is a 44" bust. Men's small roughly equal to a 3XL in women? And a men's small is 4" longer than a women's small.

It's... crazy.

Re: Random Thread

I guess that's partly because the men and women's sizes fit differently

Re: Random Thread

I'm 5'4" and I wear a men's small. It's pretty big on me but I like that since I get cold in the arenas so I can hide my hands in the sleeves.

Re: Random Thread

I have a men's small and would also pick a women's small if I'd like the fitted cut. It's pretty oversized but looks good when I wear a hoodie underneath. Since I'm also tiny, I did whipstitch (is this a word? I hope the dictionary didn't lie to me) the front side of it, though.

Meanwhile, I buy a men's 2x because they don't make women's cut in fat people sizes.

I have actually learned how to paint my own t-shirts because of the complete and utter lack of cute hockey stuff in women's plus sizes. And I've just given up on the idea of jerseys because I know the cut is gonna look terrible no matter what size I get.
