This is why I don't believe it. Feels like their team is just trying to build a public case for the tournament being inherently unfair or something.

Other than that, I'm a third of the way through and it's. Fine? I respect the effort in creating it, at least, and I'm enjoying it enough to continue, so that's better than most of the rest of the tag.

I'm thinking even more cynically than you are -- I wouldn't be shocked if they used this as an excuse to not participate at all.

I actually really liked this fic. When I read your comment about teammates being shitty about Sid being gay, I was a little hesitant because, incredibly biased though it is, I didn't want the Penguins to be like that? But no one was especially named and it was all little stuff, nothing outright like Sid's dream, but obviously hurtful and really nicely done. That being said, I did like Geno's talk with the team near the end.

I did really want Geno to point out Sid is trying to dictate how Geno was to be happy and how arrogant that was, but I didn't mind how it turned out in the end. And the fic didn't end right after the love confession!

So yes, I really liked it. Not as much as some other long S/G fics but enough that I've downloaded it to my computer.

This makes me so happy.

My favorite far-fetched fanfictionesque media scandal ever would be one where we find out that Kathy is actually in a poly relationship with Crosby's parents. Or is dating Taylor.

My need for Sid/Kathy/Geno fic has not abated.

I definitely wonder how frustrated Pouliot was, sitting on a bench in Pittsburgh, and how many of the WBS team have thought about if they could have beaten Hershey with him.

Sid and Geno's families always get seated next to each other, like an exclusive superstar row. It's cute but I am sad there's no pic of TCroz sitting with Best Kessel.

OTOH I've seen/heard more about Kathy Leutner in the last month that I have in all my 3 years in fandom and it seems she was around the whole of that time. It's like all my babies are growing up and settling down/getting ready to settle down. Bless.

Typo I know, but a punch seems like a great collective noun for hockey players.

I really liked that one too, although it wasn't my favorite. I thought I'd look up Erik Gudbranson since I don't know much about him only to see that he was traded a week ago! Talk about timing.

Maybe this is why Sid and Olli have been spotted out together a number of times this season, trying to make sure Olli actually takes a break?

That's why I download fics to my phone/tablet when they are very long. ibooks doesn't lose its place like the browser does.

I have three teams that I consider "mine," in that I will buy their merchandise (my car has a magnet of each logo) and actively root for them. But I can sort them very easily into #1 (childhood fave team), #2 (fave team in the other conference) and #3 (rival of #1 I'm ashamed to admit to loving). After that, I'd place at #4 the beloved team of the friend who got me into this fandom, and beyond that it's vaguely neutral feelings leaning toward one end of the love/hate spectrum or the other, all the way down to the two teams I hate with a passion (which, sadly, are both fandom-popular teams).

Mostly I have too much love to give, though, and I have players I adore on every team other than my bottom 2.
