#24 – Not Sure If Serious or Playing Dumba

This is the twenty-fourth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

What is the point? That there is a dumb Pens fan on twitter? Wow alert the media, this is brand new information, etc. It's clearly a direct response to speculation made in the comment it's replying to.

Mic'd up refs. Basically 3 and half mins of refs yelling at players to stay out of the blue paint and away from the goalies. It was actually a little bit insightful, and interesting enough to watch.

We're all really glad the Oilers didn't win the lottery this year. (Except I think there might have been one anon who wanted to just watch the world burn, but we can kidnap them and bury them in the basement.)

This is great. I guess I didn't realize how much the refs actively communicate with the players on the ice - not just "watch the cross-check" and "watch the interference" (as I shake my head in despair), but telling them they were going to let the puck battle keep going, or telling players why they called something.

I was amused by how many players got called by their first names.

I loved that the refs were very active about keeping players aware of the crease.

Pouliot was their best defenseman. Imagine if Letang had to spend games hanging around with Burkle and Lemieux, fully healthy and capable of playing with his team. He was certainly frustrated and I don't blame him or WBS fans who felt the same.

Building on that, there's been a distinct lack of Pouliot in all the WBS togetherness features and he never seems to hang out with the rest of them based on social media; he's always off with his girlfriend while the rest of them constantly double and triple date. I think he's done with the team for multiple reasons (Justin Schultz being the main one) and will be traded but I also just wonder how popular he is as a teammate. Adam Clendening seemed more of a part of the team when he was a perpetual scratch.

idts, considering the amount of people participating in the eyebrow bracket and the recent obsession with getting your brows on fleek etc. maybe you don't care, but it's a generalization to say that most people don't.

I'm fairly sure I've seen their tweets brought up before on meme, so I'm guessing they have something of a significant presence in twitter fandom. That or someone needs to stop hate-following.
