It's ok. I filter out Suter on AO3 and immediately unfollow Sad Shea Weber people on twitter now.

They could possibly stop identifying themselves as Allen nonny because they are really the only ones talking about the ECHL, but they want to do this. They're fine.

Besides, they've admitted they're also a Stars nonny.

People can probably deduce they're an Allen fan by the fact they're talking about them. The sign-off isn't necessary.

I find it pretty weird too, but then, I thought most Wild fans agreed that Suter was secretly a primadonna asshole by now.

So, at first I didn't want to blame the person who posted the original photoset but then I went and tracked down the original combine headshots.

His skin isn't that much lighter but it is still lighter and like. The background is ridiculously different. Yeah, in the original his background is a little lighter than the picture before his in the getty gallery (William Bitten's.) but it's not fucking sky blue.

They're all adjusted, his is just the worst and most obvious with added implications.

To me it looks like more than lighten his skin tone overall, they've just brightened everything to highlight his features better, at the expense of uniformity of background.

Someone turned up the contrast way too high on Smith's picture.

If you don't click on bestliars' Shea Weber fic, you're already avoiding least 50% of the Sad Shea Weber stuff out there.

The problem isn't that it's Sad Shea Weber, it's that it's just straight-up bad.

Yeah, cameras are racist and not that great at picking up details on darker people. It's a delicate business, but I don't really see the editor trying to make him lighter (unlike that one awful edit of PK Subban pyatts did).

That is also true, but it can have more than one problem. The one exacerbates the other.

I really wish bestliars wasn't basically the only person who writes Wild fic. I just really don't like her stuff. (...also, I don't like Parise/Suter.) Especially since she's written the only three Dumba/Brodin fics in existence and I couldn't manage to finish any of them.

My own damn fault for not writing my own, I guess.

Not full podcasts but Centre Ice with Robyn Flynn has had Angie Carducci on to talk about Pens a few times lately, in addition to covering women's hockey on the show.

I think there is a woman doing LFR-style videos for Pens games, but I never watched.

It hasn't helped since the beginning of the playoffs that there's been no Canadian teams either. Canadian viewership was down 61% for the FIRST round. I can imagine it's only gone down since.

That's a large chunk of the NHL's viewership gone, right there.

Is there unfinished fic you'd particularly like to see finished/finished fic you'd really like to see a continuation of or see the 'verse expanded?

Just curious. Myself, I wish there was more of iBear's S/G Eagle AU, and there's some priest!Sid ficlets on Tumblr that I'd love to see turned into a proper fic.

Part of the issue is that per the NHL CBA, only players on entry-level contracts with an NHL team can be assigned to the ECHL affiliate. So as with NHL/AHL situations, sometimes when you're super-logjammed at a position, the person who goes is not the "worse" player necessarily but the one between two relatively equal players who can go per the contract.
