Oo, I get it now. Yeah, that sounds pretty hot. That broad head nudging her thighs apart, her knees pressing into his rumbling sides, and maybe Suter scratching lazily behind Weber's ears and telling them how they look.

Yet another NA here, and I have literally never, in my long-for-fandom life, heard someone say "get a room" as "take your exclusive, platonic conversation away from us"

TFW the post title turns out to perfectly describe (some of) the nonnies within.

Excellent imagery overall so thanks for improving my Saturday, but I especially loved Suter scratching behind Shea's ears and narrating for some reason. (Right now I'm thinking "it's always the quiet ones" so Ryan is *aces* at sexy talk when he wants to be. And possibly that this is "hey you made the NHL for real, your second form's stable" celebration sex.)

/might have more thoughts later

I am 99.9% sure that everyone that nonny has said has used in a platonic manner actually meant it with the common connotation as a joke---but that nonny did not pick up on it.

Re: Fandom Goggles

(Anonymous) 2016-06-04 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I have, but the joke still rested on the romantic/sexual connotation and the people involved all reacted to that connotation.

This trope is so versatile. You could involve background pairings or have team hijinks or anything. Even if the main couple isn't at a baby having stage, they might be drafted into babysitting someone's wish plant or something.

You could combine it with other tropes. In a world where Bettman is breeding good hockey players, do countries/other teams try to steal wish-plants? Kill wish-plants?

Ouch. Still, the Sharks still better win tonight. I've enjoyed the playoffs overall and it would be disappointing if this series only lasted 4 or 5 games.

I was expecting the Sharks to come out and win tonight, all fired up on their home ice. I'm a lot less sure of that now.

I'm expecting Pittsburgh to get the split; they've been pretty dominant but I don't think San Jose will let them sweep. They certainly had a way better chance of winning both with Hertl in the lineup.

Sucks for the Sharks. I'm a little disappointed as a Pens fan because that's not how I want to win(if we do, touch wood). And most of all sucks for Hertl, he must be heartbroken and he's such a sweetie.

I still think they do. First home ECF game ever, if anything Hertl's absence could push them to play more desperately. Add to that Pittsburgh hasn't had the greatest track record for holding series leads.

Unless... this really is the year the Sharks slay their demons, they lose tonight, then reverse sweep the Pens.

SA I meant SCF obviously. Damned autocorrect.

That sounds so implausible. But I hope they go on for as long as they can.

No? Players not on their ELC can be assigned to the ECHL. They just have to agree to be sent down.

I really hope that will put to bed some of the idea that Canadians are such a good hockey market they'll watch anything, especially when used against American cities for being "bad."

Yeah, absolutely zero of the "good" male podcasts that meme likes are hobby podcasts done with home equipment. Even Steve Dangle, thanks to his connections, had a professional radio co-host and a professional producer on his podcast from the very beginning.

Re: Random Hockey Thread

(Anonymous) 2016-06-04 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
That's like saying players with NMCs can be traded. Only even more unlikely. An unhappy player might agree to be moved, but nobody's going to agree to going from a million dollar salary to a couple hundred bucks a week and a provided apartment.

They still have their contract, as signed by the team. If it's a two way contract, they would be making as much as in the AHL as the ECHL. A one way contract means they're going to make the same regardless.

Players on a show-me deal want to light up the ECHL to get back whatever confidence might have been lost in the AHL because of injury or the like, as a stepping stone back to the AHL.

na

Although I will say, having just listened to last week's Puck Soup train wreck and the first minute of this week's with the Wysh echo coming through presumably Lozo's mic: professional credentials, sponsorship, and an editor are still no guarantee of competence.

bro how do you even find time to procure that many posts? I run the hockeythighs tumblr and it's sometimes a struggle to find a quality post per day for that.

I know it's not popular on meme, but I love that series a lot. I agree about the warnings, but I think it's compelling as hell and I really like the author's characterization choices.

The now-completed sequel to the "Tyler Seguin fathered a kid as a teenager." In general I enjoyed it all the way through - not overwrought, though it could easily have been given the subject matter. I thought the character conflict came from understandable places, too.

However, I wish I knew the author and could point out their head-hopping habits and how much smoother the fic would read if they stuck to a single POV in a scene. It's quite readable fic, generally! Just fic that randomly shifts POV between lines!

I was also startled by pregnant Jordie Benn. Had there been mentions of mpreg earlier in the series? I thought we were in "our" universe, and then suddenly Jordie's working on a kid. I love mpreg, so I enjoyed it, but I was not expecting it.

ayrt, I find a hockey butt post- check the reblogged tags for "hockey butt", "dat ass" or some variation thereof, and BAM, a bunch of hockey butt posts at once. It doesn't take long at all that way. Though I can imagine hockey thighs might be a thing that's tagged less.

I do not remember any mpreg, but it has been a while since I read it. I'm glad you commented about it because I really don't like it enough to read a story where it's unexpected like that (and I really really don't remember there being any before).
