+ everything, by which I mean my firstborn child, my soul, and the rights to my life story as the person who gave up my firstborn child and soul so the Sharks would win 4 hockey games out of spite

Yeah, everything I've read about it makes it sound like his agent was a complete and total creep.

I think they can. But as a fan of hockey I want 7 games okay.

You guys were awesome, given all the injuries you were dealing with. And having up-and-coming young guys that you know you'll get to watch next year does help soften the blow.

thanks non. I'm choosing not to focus on Stammer probably leaving and our upcoming cap issues and just trust the Yzerplan. and keep thinking about Drouin's little french canadian face.

Drouin has been so good for you guys, I really hope it's all uphill for him and his cute little French-Canadian face from here on out.

Asking as someone who doesn't follow the Pens: in the hypothetical situation that they win again, does Dupuis get his name on the Cup?

He doesn't qualify as a player, having only played 18 games on the season. I've heard he's working behind the scenes with Pens staff/management now, but he does he have an official title that would let them get his name on there?

I don't believe he has an official position that would automatically qualify him to get his name on the cup, but the Penguins could (and certainly would) petition the NHL to get his name on there.

What was that show a few years ago with the police officers who had to go to couples counseling together? That's what your comment is reminding me of, but with Jamie and Ales (or any two Stars, really.) Maybe they sent the whole team, that would explain their improved record this year.

They went to couples counseling too, but google helped me find the one I was referring to and it was called Common Law.

It never fails to amuse me when a team wins something and for their efforts they are promptly rewarded with: commemorative baseball caps. Baseball caps. I assume it's mostly to save us all from looking at their manky sweat-drenched hair, but still, lol.

Don't look at the hats section of the NHL shop, you'll die laughing.

I believe it's mostly to make tons of money on merchandise.

DA

Having done that, I think they should definitely get one of the beanies with little poofs on the top instead.

Right? Baseball caps are both super common apparel in general and super common "exclusive" things to hand out.

Yeah if I wanted to read a Star ensemble fic I'd read a Stars ensemble fic.

I love how Murray is so serious all through the game, but as soon as the horn sounds he's SO EXCITED. After this win, he does a little dance?

Na

Yeah, gotta say, if his agent sexually molested him I..... don't really blame him for the whole hitman thing.

Also, the legal process surrounding the acquittal was roundly criticized, and a lot of people think he would have been in trouble if the case had been done properly.

Additionally, I find it extremely suspect that he was acquitted based on the testimony of two former players, and a couple years ago he started a website that was basically going to be a database of blackmail material about the NHL and people playing in it. It's enough to make you wonder about the veracity of those testimonies, if you're a suspicious-minded asshole like me.

Quote from Danton's wiki-

"In November 2005, the CBC program The Fifth Estate aired a documentary, Rogue Agent, about the history between Danton and Frost. In it, the documentary casts light on the controlling relationship Frost had with Danton and how he encouraged Danton to estrange himself from his parents, as well as an alleged incident where Frost and a group of his players abused Danton's younger brother. The documentary also focuses on a taped telephone call Danton made to Frost a week after his arrest. In it, Frost instructs Danton to plead guilty and ends the conversation demanding Danton say 'I love you,' which Danton does, further fueling speculation of a homosexual relationship between the two. In 2006, Frost was charged with 12 counts of sexual exploitation related to acts on three females and four males between the ages of 14 and 16, alleged to have occurred during the time that Frost was Danton's junior hockey coach, with the Quinte Hawks."

I... really can't blame the guy. Jesus, how awful.
