#24 – Not Sure If Serious or Playing Dumba

This is the twenty-fourth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Haha, sorry, I should have clarified it was for the series. Although the way the Blues have been playing lately, being down before the game even starts seems par for the course. /sad Blues fan

AYRT - It just surprised me as a way to set up a rare pair fest. I just wasn't expecting it to be the IntraPens rare pair exchange.

But it's totally their prerogative to set it up how they wish and I hope it goes well for all the participants.

I don't understand the surprise when the fest is literally called the "Penguins Rarepair Fest" and not the "Interesting Non-Crosby Rarepair Fest" -- nor why your surprise would lead you to critique the prompting rules instead of realizing that it's clearly a fest catering to preferences besides yours. The rules are extremely logical for what the fest is and who it is for.

No matter what you think about challenges, it's fucking ridiculous that the plays are reviewed by the linesmen on a screen that looks to be about the size the biggest iphone.

Seriously. I hope they change the offside challenge next season so that the entry has to be within 5 or so seconds of the goal, too. All of these challenges for goals where they've already spent a significant amount of time in the zone before scoring are annoying. (Not that I blame the coaches because if it's available, hey, take it. But it's frustrating to watch.)

RIP Jones' shutout streak. :( Oh well. I think we all knew it was ending soon. 156:59 is impressive as hell, though. (...I think that's right? Something like that, anyway.)

Yup. They made the right call this time, but it's so frustrating when they clearly screw it up.

I don't recall any that they've clearly screwed up, but it's frustrating that sometimes the call stands because the review is "inconclusive" (because they can't see shit on those tablets) while other times a goal is reversed because a guy didn't drag his skate a minute before the goal was scored. It's "right" by the letter of the law, just frustratingly implemented.

DA Yeah, all the calls I've seen have been correct, but after the team spent like a minute in the zone before scoring, so incredibly frustrating when they get recalled.
