#24 – Not Sure If Serious or Playing Dumba

This is the twenty-fourth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Other players I hate: David Backes, Dustin Brown, Ryan Kesler, Corey Perry, one guy on the Wild whose name I cannot remember but I assure you, I hate him, Duncan Keith, Patrick Kane (I hated him long before last summer, though)

That's one that stuck out, but I thought he was mostly disliked by Minnesota fans? Only other one I could think of was Vanek.

Do people hate Dumba? He's not really a borderline player afaik and he's not a pest. Most of the fans of other Central teams I've seen seem to be vaguely fond to indifferent about him.

He seems to board a member of my team every time we play them, so fans of my team do not like him as a rule. I'm surprised you haven't seen it.

I was the anon who was totally on board with the venting about Pens fans until the follow up comment about Dupuis. If you go out of your way to avoid it, I'm sorry that it's still annoying you, but OP chooses to follow Pens fans on twitter and then complains when those fans are sad about a fan fave whose sob story is currently all over Pens media and mainstream media too since the Pens are about to play the SCF? That's peak "Dead Dove Do Not Eat." There are a thousand things to be vented about wrt Pens fans and none of them require callous comments about a guy who risked his life to play hockey (and the first few comments were all incredibly callous and lacking empathy).

Oh my god, I agree about Clutterbuck! The only reason I have is that whenever a team I like plays the Islanders Clutterbuck plays really well and the announcers keep talking about it and I go "fucking Clutterbuck AGAIN!!!! Ruining things by playing well!!!!". Part of this is probably because his name is so memorable to me, lol.

He's never boarded anyone on my team, and we're in the Central. I've seen a bit of low-key hate for the team in general, because someone on my team seems to get hurt almost every time we play them, but nothing against him specifically.

I think that's the general feeling of most Blues fans. It makes it easier for me to sympathize with people who are fans of other borderline players/pests, even when I hate those players.

Not a Blues (or Central) anon, but I am so involuntarily fond of Backes. He hates all the same guys I hate, plus I like his quotes to the media. The story he told about Steve Ott was so sweet.
