For me it's not so much that he already has a Cup but that Pens fans insist on acting like his injury is the saddest thing to happen to any human being/hockey player/team. He's 37, he was going to retire soon anyways, and there's a significant list of players who had to retire younger because of injuries or health issues. It's sad, I'm sad for him, but I'm tired of it being brought up all the time as the greatest tragedy of all time or something uniquely terrible that the Pens org is suffering through when "aging player gets injury and has to retire" is actually pretty fucking common.
