Well, according to fandom, their immediate circle starts and ends at Jordie Benn and Demers. Soooooo.

I'm pretty sure that's because a bunch of Benn/Seguin fic is written by people who aren't generally Stars fans and got their info from other fic. I guess that's just the way of a juggernaut. Personally, I'd like to see more of Hemsky as a bg character - Segs went to the Bieber show with him and Faksa.

NA And there were those cute little videos of Jamie and Hemsky with the giant jenga! They clearly hang out together (even if it was a couples thing)

I keep reading that as you saying that Jamie Benn and Ales Hemsky went to a couples' thing together.

I'm clearly reading it as Jamie Benn and Ales Hemsky went on a double date thing.

What was that show a few years ago with the police officers who had to go to couples counseling together? That's what your comment is reminding me of, but with Jamie and Ales (or any two Stars, really.) Maybe they sent the whole team, that would explain their improved record this year.

They went to couples counseling too, but google helped me find the one I was referring to and it was called Common Law.

It's not like that comes out of thin air though. Jordie is Jamie's brother and they used to live in the same building so... Plus, Jason Demers clearly hangs out with them. I mean, they had a group halloween costume and everything.

It's the "ends with" that's the problem. They have other friends, too.

But how many fics need that many characters?

Yeah if I wanted to read a Star ensemble fic I'd read a Stars ensemble fic.
