Yes, here you get to argue to your heart's content about how ~deserves to win. However, you are only allowed to use FRIVOLOUS arguments.

Good argument: The Sharks should win because they have the best beards.

Bad (not silly enough) argument: The Sharks should win because they have more guys that haven't won the cup.

I feel like we should throw this open to all the other teams, too - why does your team deserve the cup this year, even if they didn't make it to the final?

I'm not sure this counts as silly, but the Pens should win so I get to see Sheary and the other WBSers sprayed in the face with champagne.

Somehow I got from this comment to imagining how awful all the Sharks would smell the morning after they won the Cup, because they have so much beard to soak up stale champagne. So that is my reason why the Pens should win.

The Sharks deserve to win because they have a cat. The Penguins don't have a cat.

Does the cat have a home now? I thought I saw something about it getting adopted, but now I can't remember.

Anyway, it's a black cat, so you will get very differing opinions on whether or not that's a point in the Sharks favor! (Full disclosure: I also have a black cat, and she's delightful, but I have never won the Stanley Cup since I got her. HMM.)

Yes, Jo has been adopted! (Along with another cat, I think? I read an article, but my attention span isn't long enough to retain the details of feel-good stories.) She's still the Sharks kitty, though. She has more hockey swag than I do.

The Sharks are such a weird team at this point that even bad luck becomes good luck for them. Look at how many games they won with their black cat shrines up! (Disclaimer: I have no idea how many games they won with their black cat shrines up, I just saw pics on tumblr.)

The Sharks should win because Jumbo Joe told the world that if he scored four goals in one game he'd have his cock out, stroking it, and nobody on the Pens has ever made such a promise. When one of them talks about his cock on the record they can win.

I really thought this was going to end with "And the Sharks should win via Jumbo Joe scoring four goals in a game and living up to his word," and now I'm disappointed.

Anyone know baby counts (I'll go with under 2 years) for the playoffs teams? I know the Blues have 7, but I'm curious about the others.

Penguins should win so we can all see Phil Kessel eat hotdogs out of the Cup.

I'm dubious that he'd actually do it, but then I remember that Bryan Rust dressed up as Kessel's hot dog for Halloween, so who knows?

Addendum: no matter who wins, Phil Kessel should win the Conn Smythe and then a reporter should ask team USA about leaving him out.
