#24 – Not Sure If Serious or Playing Dumba
This is the twenty-fourth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.
THE RULES

9. No discussing trolling, individual trolls, or their efforts.

Cooper can have all the dumb opinions about hockey that he wants, but by morning there will be a few hundred other opinions on the same topic. What he said is not going to have any direct effect on what DoPS does or doesn't do about the hit.
Whereas Neale's wasn't a hockey opinion. That was just someone making a mean-spirited joke at someone else's expense, and by just tweeting it, the damage is already done.
At least, that's how I feel about it, and why Neale's tweet bothers me but I don't really care about Cooper's.

Like, congrats, you said a shitty thing (and I stand by my feeling that I would think it was just as shitty if a dude had said it). Stop doubling down, maybe apologize, and then move on with your life instead of spending time retweeting a mix of people who are politely disagreeing with you and people who are being sexist assholes. I'm getting kind of a "I'm not like those other girls, I'm one of the cool girls" vibe from the whole situation, and I can't quite put my finger on why.

I'm not going to judge her for being insufficiently detached in the face of sexist slurs and personal attacks.
