#24 – Not Sure If Serious or Playing Dumba

This is the twenty-fourth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

I don't think confidence will be an issue for Murray (and I think that's one reason why Sullivan picked him). Earlier in the season he showed he can let in a couple of soft goals and not let it affect him mentally going forward in a game. After he was pulled, he gave a pretty level-headed interview about the goals he let in, and he didn't sound like he was down on himself at all -- he's always very frank about when he feels that goals were his fault or not.

I love how frank he is about it, really. His description of the last two goals in game four as "a couple of horseshit bounces" made me smile.

In so many ways he seems just bizarrely down to earth, for a goalie. He doesn't believe in having superstitions, he can assess his own play without getting down on himself, he's all about shaking off past play and getting ready for the next thing.
