#24 – Not Sure If Serious or Playing Dumba

The way the MSM seems to think that the core is the entire team and that any failure of the team is in fact a failure of the core (see: articles after game 5 of the TBL series of Sid being a bad leader despite having both Pens GWGs in the series at that point), I'm not sure it makes a substantive difference.

Also can we take a moment to discuss the terrible article in which a basketball writer from the sporting news suggested that they strip Sid of the captaincy.

Was that the one where he said one of Sid's problem as a leader was that he didn't physically threaten his team enough? Because boy was that a doozy.

Wasn't any other article eary into the season basically "trade him while there's still value tl get in return?" or some crap like that?

I feel this is the norm for all star players over a certain age when they lose though. I've recently read articles about trading Lundqvist, Rask, Ovi etc.

By which I mean, Hockey media is garbage and needs to be more creative about the content they produce.
