It's also almost two thirty in the freaking morning where I'm at and I'm tired. And I wasn't talking about the musical itself, but the fandom and why it bothers me. Which are two different things.

Sorry, man, it's also late where I am and I phrased that assholeishly. Truce? I'd propose some other topic that we might agree on, but that's surprisingly hard to do on this meme. Roman Josi is good-looking? Wayne Gretzky was objectively a pretty good hockey player? Don Cherry is 85 dicks crammed into a loud suit and Mike Milbury is 85 dicks crammed into a boring suit? Surely there must be something all of meme is on board with.

Nooo, for people who don't like it, it's not just a matter of subjective taste, it's literally a genetically inherited trait, it tastes like soap to us! Don't hate!!

(In case it's not clear, I'm talking about cilantro and not Pierre.)

We've had cilantro play-fights before on meme! That's why I brought it up!

Well why didn't you use words that conveyed the meaning you were trying to express, huh??

(I'm sorry, just kidding!! Was the non-taste a gradual thing for you? From anecdotal evidence, I think it's possible to desensitize yourself to the taste. It's funny because it tastes like soap to me, but less than it used to, but it doesn't smell like anything to me at all.)

No, it's never tasted like soap to me? But I'm part one of the ethnic populations that eats cilantro all the time. It just smells like soap. Eating it is just kinda crisp.

Huh, I know someone who's the opposite-- it doesn't taste like soap to her, she just doesn't like the flavor.

It's not strongly of soap. But there's definitely a slightly soapy element.

I hate cilantro because it's really pungent. (Not one of the people who think it's soap-like.)

I kind of like Pierre. I still want him to shut up half the time, but I find him bizarrely endearing.

(but not really, I too find him kind of endearing while also wanting him to shut up a lot of the time, they're not mutually exclusive feelings for me. In my perfect world he would still have a prominent job in the hockey world, it would just be one that didn't involve interviewing real live human beings.)
