Putting this here because it's a bit Venting, a bit Fic You Want (but not player specific like the existing thread).

So, I'm going through the Generation Kill tag looking for things to read until some hockey WIPs are done, and I find a GK/hockey crossover--OMGYAY!!!!---but then it has characters I hate and is really tiny short--FUCKING...BOOOOO!!! Man, that's so frustrating. Why did it have to be those particular Hawks players? Fuck me. /vent

It reminded me how I would give up a tooth for a good long plotty hockey crossover with another fandom I also love. Generation Kill would be amazing, but I'd also take something like Person of Interest, Justified, Leverage, Teen Wolf (but not one that makes Derek a human figure skater ffs), Bond/Bourne/anything to do with spies, or basically anything that's action oriented and has nothing to do with coffee or college students. Or the Hell's Kitchen portion of the MCU--Luke Cage should totally have taken up hockey, think about it. Jessica Jones investigating something involving the NHL would be incredibly entertaining. Matt Murdock dating/having a one night stand with a player who is taken aback that a lawyer has more scars and bruises than he does.

Oh and more crossovers with other RPF would be awesome. That one where Jeff Carter fucks that pop star and neither knows that the other is famous is gold. More like that, please fandom?

So yeah, this fandom could use more crossovers. If I could write fic, I'd probably write nothing but crossovers and it'd become annoying to everyone checking the tag. LOL *shrug emoticon*

I love hockey/sports crossovers/AUs. I write so many that I never post because they're so self-indulgent and I rarely finish them, lol. I've probably written one for every fandom I was in (but like I said posted 0, sorry!), hockey and football (the soccer kind) are definitely my favourite for that. I do wish more people wrote those!

I want to read all the crossovers with other sports! (Please post any that you finish because I would eat them up.) NGL, I really want to write Beau Bennett fic that pairs him with my favorite failed major league baseball player, and has them learning what life beyond pro-sports is like through the power of love or whatever, but I can't seem to make myself start it.

That sounds like something I'd read! I always like that angle, that they're having a hard time and then help or accept each other.

I've always wanted to write a proper fic about two athletes of different sports in a relationship coming out and then dealing with how differently teammates, media and so on react to each of them.

Nonnie. NONNIE. Please write that fic, I need it in my life.

AYRT I did, but it was so long ago I'd forgotten about it. I may have to read it again. I vaguely remember it being much more serious than I expected or wanted or something. I'd love to read more bandom+hockey shenanigans of the old 'wacky shit happens on tour' variety we used to get back in the day before the bands started breaking up and everybody started going to rehab and having kids.

I would forever read hockey RPF crossed with other sports. It would be so amazing.

I've never gotten over the fic where Ryan Ross gets fucked by Jeff Carter and Mike Richards. I read it before I knew what hockey was (/s, but I really Didn't Care) and I'm pretty sure it's part of the reason I got into this fandom.

TIL who Ryan Ross is and feel ashamed of myself, lol.

I would consider paying money for fic about Gerrit Cole hatefucking one or more Caps players (inspired by his... lively... heckling during their series: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/05/pittsburgh-pirates-penguins-gerrit-cole-hockey-game-rowdy-mlb-nhl ). Would also accept a joyous Pens/Gerrit Cole gangbang.

Ian Cole/Gerrit Cole fic where they're sniping at and chirping each other the whole time would also be acceptable.

I really want Jaromir Jagr and Ichiro Suzuki to remake Miami Vice and have antics solving crime, but the universe is a vast, cruel, and unfair place, and I won't get that.

After reading that famous fans article at puckdaddy that was linked in a SCF thread, I want to read Jagr/Russell Crowe. Apparently, Jaromir told Russell his ankles weren't good for skating, but I'm sure they're good enough for fucking. lol
