I wonder if Geno is a little sad that he wasn't born in Russia. I'm sure he likes the reason he had to be born here but still.

Someone else can chime in but I think there was an article that said no matter what the baby was going to be born here.

Didn't Anna's insta post say something like "Moscow will have to wait" after they beat the Caps? I don't read Russian articles about him tho so I missed that.

There was an article (in English, I believe) several months saying that Malkin was planning to spend his summer in Pittsburgh. Even if the Pens had an early playoffs exit (something I don't think Malkin would have wanted to assume in their planning), given how pregnant she would have been at the time, she probably wouldn't have been flying anyways. That being said, it doesn't mean that Malkin doesn't wish the baby could have been born in Russia, if it had been feasible schedule-wise.

I know everyone thinks Rossi is the worst. But he did provide this kind of funny anecdote about a conversation about the baby being born in the USA.

Me: He'll be American?
Geno: Russia first.
Me: Both?
Geno: Yeah.
Me: Brett Hull played for USA...
Geno: Yeah?
PAUSE
Geno: No, Rossi. Russia!

I loathe Rossi but that is A+ trolling in a good way, as opposed to what he normally says/writes. thanks for sharing.

Well, if she was that pregnant, it would've pretty inadvisable to fly. Is it the last trimester or after 8 months that doctors recommend not flying?

It's the last trimester or so. Generally it's not the doctors, but the airlines that don't want pregnant women to go into labor on their flights. :)
