#24 – Not Sure If Serious or Playing Dumba

"Persecution complex"? Someone made a dumb joke about a missing tooth and is being told they aren't ~new and ~special. But ok.

What would even qualify as a new and special injury? Crosby is out with a lower body injury due to be stabbed by a unicorn?

That was sort of the point of the joke? It's the quintessential hockey player injury that coincidentally happened after he joined the Pens, so it's a little silly (in the sense of funny but also in the sense of absolutely without credibility because it's obviously a total coincidence and not a serious or rare occurrence?) to suggest it's the result of a "curse"? Just like the other examples mentioned of Despres' and Sutter's injuries right after leaving the Pens happening because of a "reverse curse"? I understand if people didn't find my dumb humor funny, but I didn't think it merited a response that was very serious and kind of hostile, and that also seemed to miss the point completely.

Ok, someone made a dumb joke about a trivial injury and got told, "but that injury isn't ~new and ~special!!" Without the clear undertone that the person making the joke is being a special snowflake.
