I mean I am joking about Crosby just being a passenger on that line, but Marchand and Bergeron have been playing on the same line since '09, and that's because they work pretty fucking well together. It shouldn't be a wild shock to anybody that a line with the two of them can produce.

Oh, sure. And Marchand in particular had a banner year last year! Me, I'm just here for all the "Team Canada has finally found husbands wingers for Crosby after years of searching" articles I've been seeing. (And fic? Please?)

NA

Marchand and Bergeron, loving and committed husbands, making poly love with Crosby for the good of Canada...I'd read it.

Sid watched the episode of Behind the B where they give each other Valentines, got on the phone with Mike Dad Bab Clock and said "I know who I want on my wings for the stupid non-Olympic tournament the NHL is hosting in 8 months".

Semantics, I guess, but wouldn't it technically be Radek Faksa rather than Hertl? Same draft, but Faksa was picked like five slots earlier. (Hertl *is* the older of the two, though.)

Re: Game day thread 14 Sept 2016

From: (Anonymous)
Oh, oops, I got my fun factoid confused. Hertl was the first to play an NHL game.

I don't know why but I keep forgetting that Nikita Kucherov is Russian.

Re: Game day thread 14 Sept 2016

From: (Anonymous)
Especially since Crosby-Bergeron technically predates Crosby-Kunitz.

Re: Game day thread 14 Sept 2016

From: (Anonymous)
Crosby imprinted on Bergeron as teenager? And has been searching for a winger as good ever since?

This could explain so much.

Re: Fic Discussion- what made us think we were wise

So was it good, or...?

Re: Things You Wouldn't Say Unanon

From: (Anonymous)
I ship Marchand/Bergeron, but I don't find Bergeron particularly attractive. I don't think he's unattractive, he's just ordinary-looking. WNAU because Patrice the Perfect and Beautiful is basically a meme in Bruins fandom - all of it, not just the RPF part.

i thought it was good, yes, wasn't too long or too short to get it's message across and really more sid/jack is never a bad thing

What do you think of Marchand then?

Re: Hockey Media

From: (Anonymous)
Does anyone understand WTF this thing upgruv is that Rossi left the toxic Trib mess for??

Is it a an actual news entity?? Or an aggregator? Or a Twitter account with offices.

Re: Hockey Media

From: (Anonymous)
I think I saw it described as a Pittsburgh-centric Buzzfeed-type thing? But idk.

Re: Hockey Media

From: (Anonymous)
I'd heard he was off hockey, I didn't realize he was out of the Trib entirely. YAY.

Re: Things You Wouldn't Say Unanon

From: (Anonymous)
I feel this a lot. I think most fan favorites in hockey are merely average-looking, including my own.

Re: Things You Wouldn't Say Unanon

From: (Anonymous)
Marchand I find more appealing. For example:

Re: Things You Wouldn't Say Unanon

From: (Anonymous)
Yeah, I would agree, although sometimes I can acknowledge they're average-looking while also finding them insanely attractive. Bergeron is just not one of those people for me.

Re: Things You Wouldn't Say Unanon

From: (Anonymous)
Who do you think is objectively above average?

Re: Things You Wouldn't Say Unanon

From: (Anonymous)
Oh, same. I actually think two of my favorites are actually pretty ugly, but it doesn't matter because I like them so much. But spaces that don't acknowledge that maybe people have different ideas of what's good-looking are annoying regardless of what you think is good-looking.

Re: Things You Wouldn't Say Unanon

From: (Anonymous)
There's really no such thing as objectively good-looking, is the problem. Even saying stuff like "most of them just look average" rests solely on a person's subjective idea of what good-looking is, which usually has to do with conforming to a set of cultural ideas that tend to change over time anyway. Beyond which, attractiveness and looking good are two separate things. I know I find guys on my team more attractive than the ones on other teams because they start looking better to me the second they get traded here.

Less than five years in jail? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it still sucks. I still can't believe he was initially only sentenced to two years.
