And it occurs to me that he may have bought something new as a place to summer in Toronto or even a new cottage or something out in the country. I immediately assumed "new house" meant a different place in Dallas, but I realize that assumption wasn't really warranted on my part.

Also, after Tyler, the biggest name Propel has among its "athlete clients" is Michael Latta. So, I guess they got to expand to the LA market. ;)

Yes. I also need this.

LOl It's fine I have way too much time on my hands. All I have on the real estate company are a couple of links.

Everything else is what people have seen from his snapchat. I didn't think you were being accusatory, I'm just trying to puzzle it out. It kind of makes me sad that he's moving, if he is. It's such a great fanfiction narrative that he lives down the road from his teammate and they drive to the airport together sometimes. Maybe it's a better one if he's moving 15 minutes away for no discernible reason. Or maybe he's not moving at all. I'm pretty confused about what's actually going on, now.

I was going to nominate Parayko/Ghost, and then some kind person had already done it for me!

I feel like I have to interject that Jordie drives them to the airport

I hope someone requests it!

Maybe he just starts handing out those rubber sex bracelets like people used to collect in the late 90s.

That seems to have been the prevailing opinion after the Cup, but a lot of the commentators on Yohe's latest article, the Pen's facebook page, etc. apparently feel different now that Fleury is staying for the time being.

I would love to try and write it :D

Fanfiction has steered me wrong but it's STILL a good fanfiction narrative. Even if all Jordie usually does in fic is say 'EW" and then walk out of frame (unless it's one of those where he gets in on the action).

Maybe he tried stamping their hands initially, like you would at a night club, but they kept washing them off. Bracelets seem like a better option. Until they start "losing" them.

Me, too! The World Cup makes coming up with possible scenarios a lot easier, too. Obviously it was meant to be.

Yes! And they've been paired together some too, now, right? I'm excited for the possibilities.

Do you know when these snaps were? That might be useful in discerning whether this was in Dallas or elsewhere that he was buying a new place. If he had actually bought a different place in Dallas, I feel like he would have at least listed the Modano house (unless he rented it to a teammate?). When other hockey players I know of have moved from one big house to another, they usually try to sell the first one, even if they do wind up renting it to a teammate (which is among my favorite tropes of IRL hockey life).

I, too, love the narrative of Jamie and Tyler living down the road from one another (and Jordie driving them to the airport :) ).

And then they start trading them for sex favors. And that's the story of how Johnny Gaudreau turned the world cup of hockey into a sex village.

The house is allegedly in the Dallas area.

Propel's "clients" seem to be bros and bros of bros. Nepotism not quite at its finest.

And then that story will be turned into next year's hottest new harem anime, Oh My Johnny Gaudreau!

Re: Gossip and off-ice lives-Seguin

They were earlier in the summer, but definitely the house was in Dallas/the Dallas area because there was much discussion over why he was moving. A few people mentioned that they thought he was going to have his friend Freddy sell his house for him to make a profit (I didn't think that's how flipping houses worked but my knowledge comes from HGTV). And some people talked about Tyler getting noise complaints and people driving by his house all the time.

The snaps about him saying "move in day" and singing papers were today.

Now I wonder if he's not moving at all and he didn't just buy a second house for another reason. he's talked about having the oldest of his little sisters move to Dallas to get a job before, real estate is generally a good investment, he could be working with his friend's company.. Or it could be a misunderstanding.

All perfectly plausible explanations! As I said, there is no record of any other properties owned by him in the Dallas area, but I'll try to remember to check again in a few weeks. And, of course, if he used an LLC (which he really should have), that won't show up.

...are there any blogs/things dedicated exclusively to celebrity real estate? I could honestly not give a flying fuck about rumors about who is fucking who or what they actually do in their private time, but there is little I love more than looking at random real estate photos.

I don't actually care about the celebrities, I just want to see their houses.

Wow, people are arguing we should trade Murray? My neck of the woods people are saying that keeping Fleury this year could protect Murray's development and not pour too much pressure on him. Murray's certainly the goalie of the future IMO, but we have no idea how he'll hold up for a full NHL season. Damaging his confidence now could fuck up one of our most valuable young players.

Yeah, most of the discussion I see is about the timing of trading Fleury, not whether or not to trade him. (And I can know that this is the logical move for the team and still be sad about the situation, cause I love Fleury.)

Re: Game day thread 18 Sept 2016

To be a little contrary, I don't think a Murray trade is necessarily 100% a bad idea, but it would depend on circumstances and it would be a very calculated risk. Basically, it would be betting that one of their goalie prospects comes good (would have seemed more likely if Jarry hadn't been a disaster in the AHL last season), and/or deciding that they prefer the greater return for a Murray trade over the cap space freed up by a Fleury trade.

Murray has yet to prove he is as good as Fleury, and I do think that some people have overrated his contribution to the Cup win and/or his regular season SV% in a small sample size. He has been pretty sheltered by a very good team, and he had obvious issues during the ECF and SCF. On the other hand, he probably doesn't need to be elite to be good enough for the Pens to challenge for the Cup, and his fatigue and technique issues can be worked on. As long as he demonstrates that he can be reliably good, and if the Pens can find someone to trade for Fleury, imo it's worth keeping Murray for the cap savings/his youth.

Re: Game day thread 18 Sept 2016

From: (Anonymous)
I've actually seen someone say we should just trade Murray and then he can come back in a few years! Like that's a thing that always happens. SMH.

There are some people too pessimistic ahout it, like oflights and her future Las Vegas goaltender Matt Murray bit. But she's at least been honest about what a messy situation it's going to be. Some other Pens fans are just delusional.

I can actually confirm that people do drive by his house a lot. Women in particular. Guess he shouldn't have bought a house with an address that easy to figure out. No idea about the noise complaints though, I've just been told about the people driving past his house thing by someone I trust.
