Re: Hopes, wishes and dreams for 16/17
From: (Anonymous)I like him because he's a good hockey player and a cornerstone of the Ducks. He had that 50-goal Hart season. He consistently leads a playoff-contending team in goals. He and Getzlaf play really well together. This past season he and the team had a horrible, horrible, horrible start but he bounced back to again put up >30 goals. He's willing to play in front of the net, chase loose pucks, and is a great finisher. His past 2 seasons haven't been his best but I hope he'll break out again. (Well, I hoped. Like I said, Carlyle has killed my hopes and dreams.)
Perry is by no means an interesting or even nice personality. But I find the non-dirty pest things he does funny (stealing sticks, that time he filled Jeff Carter's glove with water). His interviews are dead boring but sometimes if you get him with Ryan Getzlaf he's marginally funny. He does a lot of charity work, including supporting youth hockey and cancer foundations. Teemu Selanne loves him, I love Teemu Selanne.
Re: Hopes, wishes and dreams for 16/17
From: (Anonymous)Those are all good things! I'm kind of startled by how many similarities there are to Marchand, who is my "I wish he weren't so dirty" fave. The goal-scoring and being besties with his center, in particular.
It must be such a depressing time to be a Ducks fan. :\ A bunch of disappointing playoff finishes and then Carlyle, wtf.
Re: Hopes, wishes and dreams for 16/17
From: (Anonymous)So depressing :( I just can't let go of this sadsack team.
