#26 — Vanek! with a Jurco

This is the twenty-sixth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Yeah and they trip over the bar because they can't even meet those low low standards. The joke would work regardless as just a play on meanings of bar/the "walked into a bar" joke opening line, but actually the metaphor here works perfectly. They don't even bother lifting up their feet.

shouldn't it be "a man walks into a bar even though it was set so low" then to go with that logic?

Yeah was just about to correct that. Don't even know what tripping over would be in this metaphor. (But also... Jokes don't have to make that Michael sense? Like, it's obviously a play on words and saying the bar is low for male feminists. Idk meme's issue of nitpicking the literal meanings of jokes.)

Haha, sorry, I didn't mean to be nitpicky. :x It's late and the more I started thinking about it, the more the logic of the hypothetical situation tripped me up, so I just made myself progressively more confused.

I understood it as more male feminists having to do next to nothing to be considered male feminists but still getting lauded for it. They meet the lowest possible standards, but christ, everybody should be at least that decent.

I'm saying it in reply to airt, who obviously did get it? like, I don't get the "we, actually, I understand it as more x" when x thing is included in the logic of the comment they're replying to?
