This is the twenty-sixth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

... Like, how poorly researched? I was going to read this when I got home, but if it's unforgivably inaccurate then I might have to give it a pass. :(

DA - There was a lot of vagueness for me, Giroud was pretty much just a description. I was a bit confused by how they would keep meeting in Paris, apparently spontaneously, I figure they would need to plan more, and if it was happening during their seasons how did Giroux just head off.

Yeah, like Giroud would text and ask about meeting up, and then Giroux would fly to Paris. From Philadelphia.

It's also missing a glaring logic hole that they don't know each other's names for most of the fic, and they never talk about what they do for a living. They never talk about it.

There are a lot of glaring logic holes, really. The execution is just terrible all around. Very little is adequately explained. Which is a shame, as the central concept (they have soulmarks, but they're both such sloppy writers that they think it's their own names on their arms) is actually kind of hilarious.

Giroud is a true Frenchman but in this fic he's basically 100℅ a North American bro in his dialogue. He's so OOC that he's just a badly written OC here (utterly generic, no personality, merely a plot device).

And I second what the other posters are saying about messy logic/plot holes.

I will credit the fic for having good SPAG, so at least there's that.
