I was surprised when I learned Hertl was the first person born in the Czech Republic to get drafted!

Semantics, I guess, but wouldn't it technically be Radek Faksa rather than Hertl? Same draft, but Faksa was picked like five slots earlier. (Hertl *is* the older of the two, though.)

Oh, oops, I got my fun factoid confused. Hertl was the first to play an NHL game.
