I wish I was hate-reading this, but mostly I'm just bored. Nonetheless, I have grievances to air:

- The Kane thing would be obnoxious without Everything.
- Always with the soft Seguin being treated poorly by Noted Middle Schoolers, the Boston Bruins
- Can she stop with the rape awareness scenes. So unaware, and it doesn't do shit for the story

Her writing style is very Decent Fanficton-y and I'm enjoying the running near misses with The Big Reveal, which is why I'm still reading, but ugghh.

The Bruins thing is soooo annoying, omg. But I'm continuing to read because the ridiculous OTT angst re: the big reveal is so good to me.

Although, that random mention of Tyler's mom using "the wrong nasal spray" means it's going to turn out that she intentionally blocked all her kids' abilities and ruined their lives, and if that's the case I'm going to be really pissed.

i love this

Obviously its a feature not a bug, but the whole 'and the wolves fit into sub/dom dynamics, even the humans who associate with them, because this is in their Nature' really turns me off. So much.

I like this fic because there's something about the neediness and the pining that I enjoy, and I do think her writing style is satisfactory. There's only so long I can get dragged along with the kind of fic where the entire plot is based on communication failure. I guess I knew what I was signing up for and I'm still enjoying getting dragged along for the big reveal (which I assume will end in a 5k sex scene), but if Tyler would say "I'm not a wolf" and Jamie would say "Yes you are" this fic would've been over like 20,000 words ago.

The anticipation + the reveal is entirely what I'm here for. I'm about ready for that second thing, though. I only hope it isn't immediate happy sexytimes once Tyler finds out, because finding out surprise! you're a different species than you thought seems like a thing that would take some serious emotional adjustment, and I want it.

A different species you're missing several key traits of, no less. Kinda interested to see if the author goes the Love is a Magical Cure route or training montage route.

For real! Tyler has so many reasons for angst and confusion even AFTER the reveal. I hope we get some of them. I'm so used to pining being resolved with instant happiness, and it's always so disappointing.

Yeah, payoff/aftermath is one of the main draws of angst in fic for me, but a lot of fics in this fandom just kind of skip it.

I have read too many of these to think the author will go much further with explanation than letting Jamie's magical dick cure everything. Maybe we will get some explanation about Tyler's mom giving her kids wolfsbane nosespray or something, but I doubt it. I feel like he'll just heal himself with a come injection and start making wolf babies.

Or we'll find out he's not a wolf but an omega human.

I keep telling myself I'm gonna wait until this story is complete to finish reading it, because it's silly and melodramatic and unnecessary, but every time I see a new chapter I pounce on it like I'm a starving rat and it's a can of Pringles that just fell from the sky.

IKR?? before i read it, i thought that comment from upthread about the big bad middle school bruins was deliberately ott, but they LITERALLY are middle schoolers! they won't answer his calls! they don't invite him out! no one will sit with him in the cafeteria!

I love that fandom lingo means that both "lemon fic" and "lemon chicken fic" are valid phrases but with COMPLETELY different meanings.

I couldn't get into it at first, but then the second time I went back I just skipped all the Bruins stuff and started from him and Jamie making eyes at each other and it's so thoroughly enjoyable that way.

Based on how this chapter ended, I think there's hope that Tyler is going to be suitably traumatized for a while and will do some emotional processing before he gets his HEA, so I'm cautiously excited.
