This is more distracting than I thought. I'm trying to write fic, but I'm too tense, lol. When did I get so into Team Europe?! That tournament is a sham, self!

AYRT I was totally rolling my eyes at the idea of Team Europe and Team North America, but now I am rooting for both of them.

But I am glad the Czechs got a goal.

Haha, nonnie, I'm the same.

I enjoyed Josi trying to diplomatically avoid saying that Team Europe is meaningless in his intermission interview.

I feel like Team Europe winning would be the only fitting conclusion to this tournament lol.

My ideal final is actually these two teams. Least marketable/profitable possible matchup, I enjoy the inherent absurdity of a country playing against the geographical region it belongs to, the teams I hate and/or resent get nothing, and all but one of my NHL team's guys get to go home early. Beautiful all around, and now I see I won't even have to hate-watch it, because both teams have turned out way more interesting than I thought they'd be \o/

This might be my ideal final matchup, too, but as a Flyers fan it definitely lacks the "get my guys home early" potential, since 4/7 Flyers in the tournament are on one of these teams.

I fell for NA pretty easily but Europe has grown on me. They're a likeable team.
