5. No looks bashing or body shaming. This applies to players and people associated with those players and their clubs, as well as fellow fans.
6. No embedded music.
7. No embedded images.
8. No spamming the meme, whether through repeated comments or other means.
9. No discussing trolling, individual trolls, or their efforts.
Meme rules do not require spoiler cuts. However, this layout does allow for them. Any of the following tags will create a spoiler cut when closed: <div cut>, <span cut>, <font cut>, <font color="white">

Last year, we had such a long lead time to allow a lot of people who were totally unfamiliar with fantasy sports to get to understand the whole system before deciding if they wanted to jump in. (Not to mention that I needed a lot of time to figure out how to run three mostly anonymous fantasy leagues. :) )
Given that a lot of meme is already signed up, and I have gotten a nice-sized group of new folks signing up already, maybe we don't really need that long before locking the leagues and getting our draft order?
It is just now midnight heading into Tuesday, Sept. 20th (NA EDT). Would this Saturday (24) or Sunday (25) be too soon to lock the leagues and get our draft order? That gives at least 10 days of list setting while knowing draft order for all GMs.
I'm still eyeing Wed, Oct 5th as the date for declaring we are ready to draft (either noon or midnight, NA EDT, which are the best times for me to do it).
Does that work better for those who are familiar with the system? Does that leave enough time for signups? I'll go check how many folks we have now and come back with a status report on that in a few...

I will be sending league-joining links to new people who have already contacted me by tomorrow, so you can get into the game environment and start to feel your way around. (I apologize if you haven't received a response from me at all yet--as a couple of new GMs who e-mailed me today have not. I work late and take a few hours after work to work on DDHL stuff. Tonight has mostly been filled with responding on meme. I'll do e-mails tomorrow morning--well, my morning, which is early afternoon in my time zone!)
Just be aware that the league you're in may change (see the big post I just made about how the leagues may contract). Also, you may be able to see the teams that the others in the league had last year. Remember that we will be redrafting entirely from scratch, so no one is keeping any of those players. Your fave will be available all over again. ;)

From: (Anonymous)Though, to the other anon: you can keep figuring stuff out even after the leagues are locked. As long as you get your sign up link before the lock date, you're good. (Right? Or am I forgetting sth?)

From: (Anonymous)You explained it exactly right, nonnie! Locking the leagues only means no new people can join and no one can delete their own team (only the commissioner can delete a team after locking or after the draft), and we have our league draft order to better help us set our draft ranking lists.
There is still plenty of time for trying out all the bells and whistles of the site and app, setting one's draft rankings lists, and participating in mock drafts (not to mention just general fantasy game and player research).

From: (Anonymous)Thank you for the feedback! While I haven't heard back from everyone, I do think that these dates work well for the mix of players we have. If anyone has a strong objection, I am open to hearing it, but this seems to meet with most people's approval--vocal or silent. :)
