THE RULES

Is it just me or does it seem like players have been told to pass to McDavid instead of taking a shot themselves?

I doubt they've been told; deferring is a real problem with highly skilled players.

Yup, someone (maybe Jen LC?) was talking about a tendency players often have of trying to always get a pass off, even if it isn't advantageous, rather than committing themselves/taking the risk themselves. Worse when you're playing with a guy like McDavid. You see the same with guys who aren't used to playing with Crosby, etc.
