Somebody on Twitter asked a great question: who on this Team USA roster is a likely HOFer (pending continued performance)? There aren't many.

PKane and. Ummm. Yes?? I'm honestly not sure Pavelski is. And my heart would like to make the suter and parise arguments but the reality is really enormous congrats and going home to Minnesota isn't actually hof worthy.

Quick??

My true under achieving love JVR?? Oy. I got nothing.

Contracts.

I mean obviously congrats you're gazillionairs. But. That should be contracts.

Yeah, exactly. I can see some of the kids potentially being if they have amazing careers, but... I'm pretty sure Team Sweden has more HOFers than we do.

That said. Beyond Sid, Jumbo and the original Canadian dreamboat it's not like Canada is rolling in HoFers. They're rolling in TALENT don't get me wrong. But some of those dudes need to get on the achievement train if they want the HoF.

Ok. I just went and looked and for Canada I would submit also maybe Getzlaf and Perfect Patrice also

And for the US I have no additions.

Wait, who is "original Canadian dreamboat"? I thought you meant Bergeron until I got to the next paragraph.

/NA who will feel dumb when I hear the answer

Carey Price, probably? He's not a cinch but if his career doesn't derail he's probably in.

As what?? A good goalie in the regular season who's usually hurt in the playoffs but has won some short tournaments with the national team?? I don't disagree that he's a good goalie. But I'm not sure he brings anything to the table accomplishments wise to get in.

Yeah, people debate about Lundqvist, and he has a Vezina, an Olympic gold and silver, and good playoffs stats though no ring. If Price gets a Cup in Montreal it might be different.

Lundqvist debate is crazy to me if only because if you leave him out I don't see who you can justify putting in any goalie who entered the league in the past 10-15 years. Luongo might be the only other one in the conversation. Lack of longevity will hurt Thomas.

Wasn't Thomas 37 when he wont the Cup? That seems like a pretty long-lived career to me.

It was long, but not terribly illustrious until right at the end, when he had the best year ever for a goalie.

I meant more in terms of prolonged dominance. He was only really in the elite conversation for a few years; Vezina votes clustered in 3 of 4 seasons. My guess is that he might have needed to be considered in the top for a while longer to win over the HHoF, but time will tell. I think he's eligible after this season.

The US has some amazing talent that's going to be up there but they are all under 23
