Are you in charge of the Avs Tumblr account?

It's a running gag.

I'm a little creeped out that they know what shipping is tbh. I'm never going to get used to all the ways fandom has gone mainstream, especially not RPF fandom.

They've been talking to some fandom-adjacent people on Twitter and I've had the same feeling. But at the same time, it's pretty funny. The funniest part to me is that it's the Avs and like five people in RPF fandom really care about the Avs anyway.

Everybody knows what shipping is these days.

Who knew a term invented on X-Files mailing lists would have this kind of legacy.

Someone I follow on tumblr used to be heavy in fandom before they got hired by ET. It's less creepy imagining her and her-like beings doing it instead of, like, the type of guys played by Rick Hoffman, but it's still a little cringe-y.
