Part of it is that the most annoying Leafs fans I know, on tumblr and IRL, are the ones who just started being Leafs fans within the last year or so. The ones who picked up the Leafs when they got cute and young and successful.
I don't want to be that anti-bandwagon, anti-new fans, anti-multi-team-fans grump but it's ten times worse coming from people who haven't earned the right to be that smug and obnoxious about the team's success.
