As someone with no rooting preference in the game, I was entertained by how long Lundqvist was without a stick in the first period.

I don't know how I always manage to forget how annoying Pierre is.

Man, Habs dominating yet Rangers are the one with the goals. CBJ getting sweep Bob not doing them any favor.

the habs-rangers series has been way livelier than I expected it to be so far, I'm kind of digging it.

And now overtime!

I can't figure out who I'm cheering for. I dislike Vigneault but I hate the Habs as an organization. Then again, do I want to see Julien vs Bruins in the second round? I'm so torn.

I'm not surprised CBJ is losing, but I am surprised they're out shooting the Pens. The pens buried teams last playoffs.

The Pens haven't been nearly as dominant possession-wise this season as they were last year. Their cumulative shot differential went way down the last month or so of the season, whereas last season it just kept going up and up and up after Sullivan was hired. What's surprising to me is that even without Letang they've done a good job keeping the Jackets' shots mostly to the perimeter, and that's what's made the difference for them.

As usual, injuries. Sigh. Letang is huge for us - given we have two starting quality goalies and two elite centres, losing our best D-man was probably the worst thing that could happen. (touch wood)

Still, they're playing well. Could use more depth scoring. I'm not gonna say I'm confident of success, but I'm not downhearted about our chances.

I don't trust DOPS to do anything, but to me that's several games.

It's never several games in the playoffs, unless the player has a history of suspension. Most playoff suspensions are 1 game only.

Shit like this makes me hate this sport so much. Good clean hard hits are fine with me. But this bullshit makes me want to barf.

Can someone be a neutral party for me here? Is it as bad as it looks? Am I a sensitive snowflake?

It looks bad to me. The crosscheck could be heat of the moment temper, regrettable but not unusual, but that second hit... it's hard to see it as anything but a deliberate head shot with intent to injure.

This team is driving me to despair, nonnies. I wish I didn't care as much as I do. and my dear players keep getting hit and smashed and the Wild are not a physical team and it is very sad.
