#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Ye olde gangbang fic set after the stadium series game. Takes place in a universe where the losing captains/alternates have to service the willing members from the winning team. The fic has hot gangbang action, a really convincing Giroux voice and a lovely, razor-sharp tension between Giroux & Crosby.

I'm not sure the whole "This rape isn't really rape!" angle was really necessary, but overall it was enjoyable.

I thought that angle was unneccessary especially when it wasn't really focused on after the fact but the fic was enjoyable nonetheless.

Loved the fic, agreed about the wording on the warning. "Rape committed by OC, not player" would have been far more useful. I mean, the archive warning was used. So we already know it's in there.

I enjoyed it for what it was, and it was well-written, but I couldn't shake the "nameless evil woman is the villain" aspect of the witch character :\ That part just stood out to me as Not Great.

ayrt. The setup for that Ryan Strome/Dylan Strome/John Tavares fic makes little sense (where are they? what time in the season is it? how did Dylan & John get together?) but the premium grade porn makes it all worth it.

Ugh I wish I could! I have been looking or those forever but the only stuff that comes to mind are sidgeno fics with good ranger parts- like the offlights mpreg has a great part where tanger stays with sid... which is not very helpful here

parayko being a huge gossip was my favorite part of "groupme", ngl. (rl dude actively avoids being interviewed if at all possible, also always here for BIG omegas.)

i liked that everybody's all "WT FUCK are you thinking picking Letang for your gamewinner, Dumo?" (the entire fic was a good read, but that amused me.)

"elastic heart" was also an overall good read (and iirc has some nice flower content as well, if you happen to like that in your pens fic.)

"i like the sound of your blood" was readable but sort of whatever for me.

i'm currently reading "the choir invisible" and liking it, but i like paranormal/magic universes so inherent bias.

i also liked snickfic's crosby/letang "in line" (short, pretty much porn with their history worked in between the lines.)

the first one in remyjane's "how do you like me now" tarasenko/shattenkirk seres is gen with enough if-you-squint subtext to have made past me want the full-blown slash sequel *badly*, and i'd rec the series as a whole.

When I'm feeling down, I usually reread my Jeff Skinner/Eric Staal favorites. Pretty much anything in the pairing tag, sorted by kudos, works as a pick-me-up. This one is my favorite though:

Mind you, it's a semi-AU, in that Eric Staal still plays for the Canes but Jeff never made it to the show due to an injury. There's a kid involved, though, but he's never the focus of the story.
