Re: Fic Finder

From: (Anonymous)
Sadly I do not have the fic, but I DO know a little info. author (at time of fic posting) was going by sesameseed (or a variation, it's been a while) on ao3 and darthtulip on tumblr. I don't remember the title either :(.

And I remember having basically the same reaction, where I didn't really care about the endgame K/T but the scene where he's kind of got a crush on Shane Doan/hooks up with him was way more memorable and despite the whole sad/longing thing I liked it more. In fact, I was thinking about that scene the other day before I saw your comment.

Ah! Even just knowing the author is great news. Thanks!

And yeah, I think about that scene a lot, and that version of Toews. I will admit that I actually don't remember what happens later/how the fic ends.

I don't know if this helps because I mostly don't Tumblr. But I found my missing fics name + more info on this site and it led me to a nonnie who could help.

sesame_seed, I think. I have their daemon AU, but that's the only one I have.

Would you mind sending their daemon AU to sockitup2015@hotmail.com, pretty please?

Yay. :)

I happened to see this at the same time as the Shane Doan drama is happening. :(

Also someone mentioned something about him hazing Toews at Worlds? Does anyone know what that's about? I can't find any articles about it. Thanks!

Re: Fic Finder

no clue about whether or not he hazed toews at worlds, but i don't even follow the coyotes and now *i'm* kind of sad about shane doan. like, yeah, dude is 40 and his contract's up iirc so it's a reasonable *hockey* move, but the org did *not* come across well optics-wise imo and actual fans on social media were not fond of it either.

It's the exact same situation the Stars found themselves in with Mike Modano years back, and we all know how that worked out.

Re: Fic Finder

i googled him and what *seemed* to happen is he signed with the red wings when the stars cut him loose, did not perform well/arguably stayed playing longer than he should have, and it was basically a hot mess that eventually ended up with him signing a one-day ceremonial contract so he could *technically* retire as a star. further details would be greatly appreciated if you or other people know them/have links :).

Yeah, I mean just last summer they were saying that Shane Doan would be a Coyote for as long as he wanted and now it's "well, we didn't expect it him to want it for more than a year."

I just don't know that he's their most pressing problem. Couldn't they have just qualified him and let him decide whether or not to take the low contract?
