But is this because there will actually be more men or because they *think more men will be at the game* ? Because the latter always ends badly, and ends up with long, long lines for women.

The part that really confused me was that apparently this was only for the playoffs? Why would the m/f ratio be different for the playoffs than the regular season?

“For playoffs, what we’re seeing is we’re getting predominantly men in here – the more exciting the hockey gets, I think the less guys are willing to give up their tickets,” said Susan Darrington, general manager of Rogers Place.

because obviously women don't buy their own tickets, they can only get them from men.

Policy aside. The lady from RP who is quoted is really horrible and they probably shouldn't ever have her do PR again.

A redditor reported seeing long lines out the door for men and none for women before the change was implemented. When questioned, however, he said the lines were about a 10-15 minute wait. But, like, 8-10 women waiting in the ladies room could easily not be seen by men from the outside (hence the appearance of no line) and also result in a 10 minute wait time.
